6 quarts popcorn, popped with canola oil
2 Tablespoons butter
1/2 Tablespoon hot sauce
Nutritional yeast flakes
Salt and pepper to taste
Parmesan cheese (optional)
Melt the butter in a pan and add the hot sauce. Let the butter bubble, but not more than 20 seconds on medium heat. Pre-salt the popcorn to taste. Spin your bowl of popcorn and pour butter in a spiral. Then add some lemon seasoning (a few sprinkles) and coat the top with a layer of nutritional yeast (not too much, though) and mix well. Pour soy sauce out of a bottle with a fine spout so you dont get your popcorn totally soaked over the corn in zigzag pattern being careful to not hit kernels more than once (they will get soggy if you do). Then, if you want, sprinkle some parmesan cheese over the top and mix well.
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Serve hot and enjoy with a brimming full glass of milk!
I'm sure that you may look at this recipie and say 'Nope, too weird', but trust me, everybody that I make this popcorn for genuinely loves it. You can do without the lemon seasoning if you dont like it; some don't.
