No-Fuss Caramel Corn

Recipe Ingredients:

3 quarts popped corn
1 1/2 cups peanuts
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda


Cooking Instructions:

Place the popped corn and peanuts in a brown paper bag (big grocery bag).

Combine brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt in a 2-quart glass bowl. Microwave on high 3-4 minutes, stirring after each minute (mixture should boil). Microwave 2 more minutes.

Stir in soda.

Pour this over corn and nuts in the bag. Close bag and shake well. Microwave 1 1/2 minutes. Shake and microwave 1 1/2 minutes more. Shake bag and tear open along one side.

Spread corn over open bag and let cool.

Preparation Time: 15-20 minutes
Difficulty: Easy

Additional Comments:
Great for card parties, games, and just snack for any occasion.

My family loves this treat anytime. It's better than Cracker-Jacks.
